Good News

There is so much to update on since I last blogged all the way back in September.

The most exciting is the news of baby number 2! We're due on 10th May 2012. I am thrilled.

It has been such a different pregnancy so far. Sickness has been horrid. Olivia was good for me as it was like clock work each day so I knew when to be near a loo haha.

I guess it isn't helped by the chest and ear infection followed by the sickness bug that has been doing the rounds. Tom only wants 2 so I told him if I ever get broody to remind me how vile I've felt :)

So I shall have another summer to play in the park and watch the Olympics :)

I also had my things to do before I'm 30 list, so clearly number 1 is sorted and all being well number 2 should be complete.

Chocolate bars are going well. Fruit & nut, boost, double decker, mint aero, starbar, snickers and so far. I love a good excuse for eating sweeties.

Movies isn't going quite as well. I had a few recorded but the sky box died so that's scuppered it. I watched a fair few movies but only 1 off the top 250 which was The Kings Speech, fab film.

Maybe Christmas will offer some of the movies I need and those night feeds will give me chance to watch.

Reading isn't going as well either. Since September only 3 books Tge Fry Chronicles, the girl with the dragon tattoo and Life and Laughter by Michael Myers. I enjoyed all 3 but one book a month is poor.

So life in my little world is good. I spent the weekend in Barcelona with the girls and went to work today so I am shattered! I am typing this post on the train to keep me awake!

I will do a post soon about Barcelona, it was so much fun and we'll have stories for life!

Olivia is doing brilliantly and is a real little person picking up new words and understanding so much, it is fabulous to see her learn. I do worry I'll break my gorgeous girl by introducing number 2 but people do it all the time so it can't be all bad.

Well I am almost at my station so time to go.

Now my secret is out I can get back to blogging :)

zzZZzz

Just back from London and it was a fun weekend but my goodness I am so tired. I will do a full blog about it soon, I am just typing this now to try and stay awake until at last 9 or I will be up at silly o'clock and never get back to sleeping normal hours.

I also need to blog about Stephen Fry and a double decker!

Life is good at the moment but I need more sleep!

18 months on

Today my teeny weeny baby is 18 months old. It has been a fabulous 18 months, hard at times, but absolutely amazing.

Olivia is such a happy young lady and although I am sad to be working and missing her so much whilst in work it is lovely to hear how popular and happy she is at nursery, She has lots of friends and the girls at the nursery laugh about getting her autograph because she is going to be a star when she is older. At times the stories they tell me make me want to cry at what I miss but it making her come on leaps and bounds, maybe I should sneak a camera into nursery so i can watch her!

I am hoping beyond hope that someone I love wins the lottery tomorrow and buys me a house so I can go part time and have more time with her. Work / life balance sucks for so many people these days that I need little dreams to keep me going.

Well here is a little photo share.

This is my girlie at 3 hours old.

Here she is at the weekend when we went to MILs to celebrate her birthday and mine along with her cousins Cameron and Bethany. I think they are going to be a right bunch when they're older.

9/11 - ten years on.

I have avoided the news coverage today as just glimpses of footage of what happened ten years ago has had me crying this week. It is bizarre that 10 years has passed since that horrible day in New York.

It is going to be one of those days that everyone who is old enough will remember where they were when they heard the news.

I started working for my current company on 11th September 2000, so in 2001 I was talking to Noel in work about how the last year of work had been, part way through our conversation one of the partners, Crawford, came running through the office shouting something incoherent in his wake, I remember we all chuckled at Crawf having one of his funny days as he was known for being daft and having a joke and no one really understand what he was talking about so we kept working.

A minute later he was back in the office with an ancient radio and tuned it into a station and we all stood around a filing cabinet in silence just listening.

I remember just feeling sick as Crawford who is so jolly was white as his son worked at WTC and one of our friends was visiting his girlfriend in philly and they were due to go there for a visit and we weren't sure what day.

We were lucky as they were all fine but there were just under 3000 deaths from teh four flights, the WTC and the pentagon. It was an extremely shocking and upsetting time and all those people that lost their lives will never be forgotten.

Things to do before I’m 30

Happy Birthday to meeeeee, today I am 29 years young! I have been absolutely spoilt rotten today and I am feeling very happy to have such fab people around me. Considering I was ignoring this birthday as it is a nothing birthday I have done amazingly well with presents!

As there is a mere 366 days (leap year remember) until I am 30 I making myself a little list of things to do.

It sounded fun when I thought of doing it but the mad crazy fun things that would be awesome to do, such as jumping out of a plane, are beyond my income means at present so I am going for a list that is a bit more doable (possibly read boring!) Editing myself whilst typing I have to say the first two on the list aren’t boring at all just somewhat out of my control.

So at the grand old age of 29 here is my list so far. I have a list of 10 things but if I think of something interesting and doable I may edit any time over the next year.

1. Get pregnant

So this one is obvious really!

2. Have a baby

If all goes well with #1 above

3. watch 50% of the top 250 films on IMDB

I copied the list as of today and I am going to post these above shortly so I can tick them off as I go.

4. Have a fish pedicure

I have wanted one since I saw them on This Morning last year so thought it would be a nice one that would be easy enough to do.

5. Try 30 different chocolate bars

This one is just an excuse to stuff my face! I always seem to ate the same few chocolate bars so this means I will have to try some new things

6. Try not to think about Polar Bears for an entire day

I was doing a search on the internet for inspiration and this was on someone else’s list and it made me laugh so it went on.

7. Have at least 5 dates with the hubby

I love going on dates and making time for just us is brilliant and if 1 and 2 are sorted then there will be less time for our dates.

8. Read 26 new books

I love love love my Kindle so this one will be easy, I don’t want any comments on my reading habits as I love chick lit and Mills & Boon, feel good quick reads, perfect and don’t give a feck what people think :) This one has also been made easier by teh fact that I go some amazon gift cards for my birthday so I get to download away soon :)

9. Learn to cook something tasty

I’m not a great cook so one day I am going to be brave and chose something and perfect it over the year.

10. Get at least 2 rooms in the house completed.

We have been in this house for years and things aren’t really done. The kitchen and our bedroom just need quick fixes, snag list type things.

So there is my list to keep me occupied for the next 12 months.

Now as I am skiving Zumba I think I might go and eat some cake from the girls in work, a girl is only 29 two or three times so it is deserved.

Bye Bye 28

So tonight I go to bed as a 28 year old and when I wake up I shall be 29, one step closer to 30. I think I need to get looking at anti wrinkle cream, even though i still have skin like a teenager *weep*

Nothing much planned for birthday this year, can't be bothered with it, god I am getting old haha.

MIL is 60 on Saturday so we'll be going there on Sunday for a nice joint celebration but poor Sue will be cooking for everyone so not much a relaxing day for her. I am hoping that the weather is night so we can take refuge in the garden, the house is going to be a busy one and not sure I can deal with people at the moment.

Ah well, time to watch the last part of red or Black and then head to bed and dream of chocolate biscuits and jam butties mmmm, odd dreams but enjoyable non the less :)

Mr Bloom

I really can not get the song from Mr Bloom's nursery out of my head! It is annoying me now. Also the fact that I have a weird thing for Mr Bloom. Well without his allotment gear he looks like this so mabe it isn;t too bad... maybe.

Half of the office have thought I was insane singing "meet the veggies" today, one girl wanted to kill me as she has cbeebies aged children so had the song in her head and Vicki though I was being rude singing a song about meat and veg, but then she would!

Other than that going to keep this post a short one so I can run off and find a new song to get stuck in my head.

Updatey

So it has been over a month since I blogged, it has been a busy and fun month so at night I tend to just veg and the ability to string together a sentence sometimes eludes me.

Early July saw a well deserved and rare night out dancing with my girlies. Sadly it was because Vicki was moving office, she is still with the firm but as she passed all her exams she a a training contract so all is good. Vicki and her friend Laura ended up taking me to The Razz as I had never been before and apparently it is something that everyone should experience, and an experience it was haha fat frogs all round!

Many people say it is a place you can only ho to when you;re drunk and the sign of how good your night is is by how far the black scum goes up your leg. It kind of reminded me of a cheesey pop version of the K.

So following that was our awesome holiday to Whitby.

We went with Luke, Ellie and their three and Beth, Dave and their two. It was madness and altogether too much fun.

We have a lovely windy visit to Whitby Abbey where we saw an executioner chop the heads off some potato puppets, We had two days at Robin Hoods Bay playing the sea and crabbing in the rock pools and building sandcastles. We had a trip to Scarborough to walk along the front and a visit to the Sealife Centre. One day each family went and did their own thing so Me, Tom and O scooted over to York for the day which was lovely.

We stayed in a converted barn on a working fall, it was beautiful and in the middle of no were next to sneaton forest so lots of things to explore. Five minutes up the road in Sneaton forest was falling foss falls which again was beautiful and gave another opportunity for getting feet wet in the streams.

It truly was a wonderful holiday full of fish and chips and too much cake :)

When we came home, with a bit of a bump and post holiday blues, I met Nich and we went to watch the last Harry Potter, I was really routing for the Voldermort guy but sadly he didn't win, shame. I enjoyed it and plan on buying the box set in a few years when it is cheap on eBay and make Liv watch them when she is old enough heh

Tom and I also managed to go on a date this month. We went to the cinema to watch Captain America. I loved it, I sobbed, really sobbed bottom lip wobbly and everything. In my defence I was rather hormonal that day but I still would have cried hehe.

I do love a super hero movie and I love that the recent ones are all building up to The Avengers movie next summer, need to rent Thor at some point as I missed that one. Although I did see their car advert it was brilliant!

The X Factor starts again soon, I do love those auditions, it really is one of my guilty pleasures watching x factor. I am wondering how it will be without Simon Cowell. I thought the same about American Idol but that was good, but then I love Steven Tyler and the fact he used my fuck a duck saying and added more to it made my day :)

I also found myself telling my body that I must be pregnant by the time the winner is announced, I hope it paying attention!

I am pretty sure there is more that I wanted to say but I think that this is long enough for now, time to get a drink and curl up with a book.

Oh I must add, I am watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Helena Bonham Carter is just brilliant as Bellatrix.

July already!

Well it has been a while since I have posted. Life has petty much got in the way so when it comes to sitting down I am too tired to think.

Tom has been sick for about a week and half. It started off as flu which then developed into sinusitis and a chest and ear infection. He is never sick so this has really knocked him for six. He hasn't even played his X Box so he must have been bad. It was his first trip from the the house today so we headed into town and bought a few bits for Liv for holiday.

I then came home and scrubbed and cleared the yard. Next door had some work done and the cheeky roofers left some of their stuff in our yard. Also plants I bought about 4 years ago died about 3 3/4 years ago and the weeds were taking over so they have all gone. It is a teeny tiny yard yet I managed to fill 3 garden sacks, amazing!

Liv is turning into a real little girl now. She is discovering what her legs are for. We have been walking around whilst she holds my hands, it is too cute. She doesn't keep her feet still though she is always on the go so she falls over after a couple of minutes but she will be toddling before I know it.

Not long now until our week away in Whitby with the Griffins and Parkers. I really really can't wait it is going to be so much fun and it will be a much needed break. i think I shall go and Google "things to do in Whitby" :)

Hopefully now Tom is back on his feet and can help with the baby wrangling I shall have the energy to blog some more.

Tired.com

I am finding it hard to catch up on myself lately, work is hectic, after work is hectic, sleep is sporadic and I am aching all over. (seriously all I do on here is moan haha! This is part of the reason I posted Hugh as a break from whinging)

We have more teething which majorly sucks. I got a call from nursery to go and pick her up today but we are so busy in work I had to call Tom to do it. She had a bit of a temp and was apparently inconsolable but she was fine when Tom got there. The two of them ended up going to the park for a play and she took a couple of assisted steps, she obviously refused to do this again when I got home typical :)

Holiday countdown is on, 6 weeks on Friday we head across the country to Whitby or Scarborough or somewhere around there heh. I am so looking forward to a week away from real life. I am rather nervous though as I suck at cooking and the thought of having to try and cook a meal one night for 6 adults and 6 kids is terrifying me! I think I need to start looking for ideas that are easy, healthy and someone with chromes can eat! rah!

It is Apprentice night tonight which sadly is a highlight of my week. My house is a disaster zone so i should be tidying and so on but seriously I can not arsed, I will just have to make sure we don't have guests this weekend :)

Only two more get ups until the weekend woohoo!

Hugh in a towel, that is all :)

June already!

Time is flying by far too quickly!

I am trying my best to pick myself out of the slump I have been in since 16 May. There is nothing and everything wrong at the moment and being fairly miserable is such damn hard work. I keep looking at the crap people have to deal with and my wibbles are nothing in comparison.

As it is June I can say that I go on holiday next month HOOZAR! A week away in Whitby / Scarborough with my lovely Tom and Olivia, Luke Ellie and their clan and Beth, Dave and the boys. it is going to be so much fun, even if I think Luke adn Beth will murder each other, siblings with different ideas of how to plan a holiday. Tom and I shall just sit and let them fight and then we will agree with the last one standing :)

I am also stupidly jealous of my friend who is pregnant, she had a little one in July and number 2 is now due in November. It was a complete accident as she forgot how the pill worked! It is so wrong to be jealous especially as we're not even trying yet!

Well tomorrow is Thursday so almost Friday, the boss is off and me and Vicki are going out for lunch to have a couple of drinks and have a major bitchfest about work. I love my girls in work, we spent the morning randomly shouting quite load WE HATE THIS HOUSE haha it's the daft things like that, knowing that we're all hating it, that make it easier to go in.

#muststopmoaning

Right off to watch the crazy feckers in Corrie :)

What a week!

I have quite frankly had a rubbish week, it could have been a million times worse of course but in my life of nothing ever ever happening I have been on self destruct mode!

It started off with work being it's usually shitty self, I really am struggling with getting up to go in there. I have asked to change my hours so I can finish at 4.30 and get to spend some extra time with my Oliviasarus, it has to go to the board so fingers crossed there is a meeting soon and they remember to discuss it.

Felt really quite sick on Monday but it was stupidly busy so I stuck with it. (Not sure why I bothered no one thinks any better of me for it!)

Tuesday was a long day at Alder Hey, although Liv was such a superstar, coping really well with the several hour delay and came out of recovery wide awake like they hadn't actually put her to sleep, which the did as I was holding her while they did it! (that still makes me want to cry).

All is going great with her eyes and she is doing better than they expected her to do so fingers crossed she keeps going this way and I shall be one very happy bunny!

Wednesday still feeling pants I got up to go to work, why? God knows. On the way I was plodding along to get the train and then suddenly I was doing some crazy lady jig trying my best not to fall on my face.

I really hurt my ankle but at the time I was just so embarrassed that I kept walking. there were a gang of kids stood at the corner who bizarrely didn't say anything and a fair few people behind me. as I tried my best not to limp (I failed badly at this) up to the station everyone behind me during my street dancing session started over taking me. I got on the train and felt waves of sickness. I wasn't sure whether this was the fact I wasn't well or the pain in my foot.

I got in and said that I was going to clear my desk and then be gone by 12.30. As the day went on and got worse my ankle of sorer and I didn't leave until 25 minutes after I should have gone home on a normal day! sometimes people take the piss and I am such a mug for taking it.

I think I have always been that person in work that people know will do things and at times take advantage of it. I tried to stick up for myself on Wednesday which lasted a whole fecking 10 minutes. As far as I see it I have two options 1) bring baby plans forward a couple of months and pray for an early catch or 2) look for a new job which may be impossible in itself and delay baby #2 GAH

Thankfully I knew I had some time off on Thursday as Liv had her last set of jabs and as the pain was still bad I went for a trip to the hospital at the top of the road, very handy! I have some ligament damage and some crutches. crutches are a pain in the ass and i feel rather embarrassed using them.

Liv had her jabs and was quite good until 10 minutes later and we got to the supermarket and she screamed the place down poor love so we got home and had cuddles on the floor :)

Friday I put her in nursery, had the day off work and it was supposed to be an easy day, blimey sitting down doing NOTHING is hard. The doing nothing changed after lunch though as my lunch exploded in the microwave so I had to clean that and then led to cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and then aching haha

Yesterday and today weren't too bad. Minor injuries paper cuts, banged heads and cut lip, I think I need a bubble wrap suit!

Ah well tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary (!) so that should be a good day. We have a sitter for the day as the volcano stopped erupting and the ash cloud buggered off so my mum got home so we are going to the flicks and for a meal.

Right that is a rather moany post, I must make en effort to get out of my grump and be more cheery :)

BONGO SOLO

I miss listening to The Chris Moyles show in the mornings, the show really makes me laugh but they run late all the time and I find myself standing still listening to them instead of getting ready for work so now I have to put the news on instead.

Now that my iPod seems to be working again I have been downloading the podcast but my goodness I really shouldn't listen to it when I am going to work. When things are funny to me I can not control the laughing so on the way to work today an old man gave me a disgusted look and on the way home I made a girl next to me chuckle as I just couldn't contain myself.

I think everyone should listen to the podcast, it's awesome.

Going back to work in January wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, I guess it was nice to be around adults and playing daft games, it also came at the same time the hospital appointments for Liv settled down as well so it was nice.

There was a time a couple of weeks ago when I had a breakdown in work and struggled for the day but was OK for a while but right now it is so hard. I take Liv to nursery and she loves it and goes to the girls there and I spend a couple of minutes each morning looking at the photos on the wall and I feel sick and jealous that they get her all day.

The I am OK for a little bit as I meet Vicki on the train and we have a good natter like we've not seen each other for weeks not the day before but that is going to change soon. She has her final exams in a few weeks which she will pass as she is a genius and then in July she has a training contract and is being sent to another office so won't be back in Liverpool for about 2 years *sob*

The days are long and dull and I hate it and I miss Liv and I only have one picture of her on my desk and should get more but when I look at the one I have it makes me sad not happy.

Then I get in about 6 and she is tired from not sleeping that much in nursery because she is having too much fun, all the other kids sleep and she is catching on quite well, but she is normally in bed between 6.30 and 7 so the time we have isn't fun time, apart from the bath when she's not too tired :)

I can't afford to drop a day at work so I am trying to shuffle my hours around so I can finish at 4.30 instead of 5.15 so at least I get a good hour with her to play before all the bedtime stuff begins. Not sure what they will say bit loads of people work funny hours so I doubt they would say no

Having to work truly does suck :(

Wow didn't mean to go into a whinge about that, ah well obviously needed too! I was going to post something else about this but it has slipped my mind now.

Right time to go, Friday tomorrow, AWESOME!

The Talk and front doors

So I got around to telling Tom I am broody as anything and to my amazement he didn't run a million miles away, in fact he said he was surprised that I hadn't mentioned it earlier heh

I want to wait a little while so that baby number 2 (squeee) isn't born around the same time as Liv. So now it is the waiting game before the waiting game and time to get those folic acid tabs in the cupboard and weetabix for breakfast :)

So it is all very exciting and we have a long to do list for the house which would be great to get done. One of them is a new front door, I know where to buy a door but who do you get to hand them and do the locks and so on? I am so confused, also I don't want to be spending loads of money either, I have another baby to pay for hehe

This really has perked me up, I can't wait though it is a little daunting the thought of all day sickness with a toddler and then a new born with a toddler. Ah well I guess that is what grandparents are for :)

Right time to get a drink :)

Zumba, signs and Euromillions

So the exercise craze of the time seems to be Zumba, after hearing people rave about it and Vicki joining the gym and noticing they do it there we decided to don our gym gear and head on over to jump around like nutters.

It is actually really fun, we have favourite girls we like to stand by just to give us complete giggles. Plus laughing whilst dancing will burn extra calories. We've been a few times now so we kind of remember some of the dances. *wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle* our favourite only because some people do the strangest things with their bottoms, I decided to repeat this whilst Vicki was behind me just to make her go purple :)

If you want to exercise but think actual classes are dull, this is far from it, go and have fun!

So as I said in a post down there somewhere I am uber broody, well today I got an email from My Monthly Cycles, I've not even logged in there for two years so it obv must be a sign haha I am going to carry on ticking things off my to do list and make the house look less of a bombsite and raise it. I am thinking of opening a poll to see how far he runs when I mention it haha

Saying that though he may completely surprise me and agree, he did that when we got engaged and he wanted to get married fairly quick, I assumed it would be a long engagement but it wasn't. We waited a while before starting to plan as the sensible art in me wanted to get all of my exams out of the way as I knew I would be distracted.

Speaking of my marriage it is almost 3 years, THREE YEARS, where does the time go.

In that time we have had an awesome trip to NYC and have had a baby, and that gorgeous girl is 14 months, my goodness me!

Poor O is having a bit of teething pain at the moment, poor flower is growing 4 new teefs. At least she is getting them done in a job lot.

Well we sadly never won the lottery on Tuesday, but the good news is no one did so it is a rollover to some ridiculous amount tonight. No one will win tonight though as shops all ready have the posters for the Tuesday roll over up haha It was on watchdog yesterday and now the girls in work are disgusted at how the lottery if completely fixed. I bought my ticket anyway. Plus our 39 lines in work won us £260 so we bought another line and put the change in the charity pot.

I have managed to steer clear of daydreaming today, though it has been hella busy so not surprising really :)

Right, that'll do for now I think, time to go read or watch TV or tidy up... book it is :)

Day dreamin'

As the song goes "I wanna be a billionaire so freakin' bad". Well a millionaire would do. Actually a couple of hundred grand would do heh

Tonight is an £85 million pound jackpot on the euromillions and although the chances of winning are slim slim slim it is hard not to dream about what would happen if I won.

I am in a syndicate in work and in with my mum but I only get 10% of her winnings for the 20p towards the £2 fee I will get around to paying her if she wins haha

So lunch time, whilst eating my bargain bean on toast, was mostly spent dreaming. Then back to work as the work we do is depressing at times I just kept on dreaming. Winning the lot would be bloody scary but I could help everyone I like, so if you notice everyone is moving to nicer houses and you're not I obviously don't like you heh.

Sadly when I don;t get an email from the lottery folks in the morning and when I walk into work and the receptionist says no win I will be ever so slightly sad. It is so easy to let the imagination run away thinking of easier times that money can make. Also the extra time in sunshine!

In the real world I am in my usual spot on the sofa watching the telly. The Apprentice has just started so I am spending the next hour watching some people who think they are awesome and over the next few weeks I will watch most of them make complete divvy's of themselves before choosing someone I like.

I can;t help but get sucked into these types of programs, but I still think it is weird to hear Lord Sugar instead of Sir Alan.

Not sure there is much else to share, my life is fairly dull and I am rather bored atm so COME ON LOTTERY give me something to do! :)

Framed!

I bought a picture frame in January 2010(!) I today I managed to hang it haha

There isn't actually photos in it yet but I chose the pictures I wanted, printed them on paper and cellotaped them in until I order the actual photos, I wonder if that will take me as long.

Olivia's teeth have finally popped through her gums after several weeks of grizzling. On the bottom row her first bigger teeth. She hasn't let us go near her mouth for ages but this afternoon we played a game of let Olivia put her fingers in my mouth she will open her's for me, the things we have to do.

It has been a lovely weekend but now it is Sunday night and those Sunday night blues are here again. I wish that I didn't have to work. Actually I may be bored not working but working part time would be better! Such is life though that we can't all be so lucky.

Right, time to track down an ottoman to buy! Thrilling life I lead.

Broody Stick!

I have been well and truly battered with the broody stick lately! I want O to have a sibling, I want number 2 to cuddle, I want our family complete!

There are always pros and cons to decisions like this and those things on my cons list not too long ago all have answers to them.

1. The house is too small for another.

Well I did want to move house before having another baby but we are tied into our mortgage until August 2012 and the news has given more doom and gloom fro the property market today.

But with the size of the house it doesn't matter. I mean look at Peppa and George as well as Charlie and Lola, they are siblings that have to share. OK maybe children's cartoons aren't the best support for an argument but still. My friend shared with her younger brother until she as 9 and even when they had their own rooms they still tended to go into each others rooms until she was 12 heh

2. The costs of another

Well surely this is always going to be an issue with anything, babies cost money. Heck EVERYTHING costs money. it is a never ending worry in this day and age and if we all worried about money no normal people would have children.

Olivia is growing into the next stage of equipment so we have to spend out anyone and new baby will have her things. The only main costs I can see our:

1) bed for Olivia - she will need this anyway!
2) New car seat fro Olivia - she will need this in a couple of months in any event.
3) Double buggy - easily bought around the corner, or even get the grandparents on the hunt for one in a good condition second hand one. They are all for recycled things :)

3. I won't have time to do anything.

Well come on I am NOT the only person to have 2 children. plus I am more than confident that the grandmas would love to come and help out in those early days.

Have number 2 must be easier to get going with, I mean with Olivia I didn't have a fracking clue but now I do. I understand how a latch works when BF, I know how to change a nappy, I'm not scared to bathe a baby. O know to just grit my teeth and chant "this too shall pass" when things get hard.

Also I know whenever I need a break I can buy cake and turn up on Skippy's doorstep on a Friday haha

So now I guess all I need to do is have a grown up chat with Thomas heh. I think I might clean the house from top to bottom and make it look lovely. I am sure asking him with toys everywhere a pile of clean clothes in the corner won't make him think "yay let's add to the mess!"

I may well change my mind in a week if O keeps having this reaction to milk and the vomiting continues. haha

But things are going great atm. O is doing great with her eyes. So much so that they are going to try and hold out on her eye ops. We have to go in for day cases every couple of months so they can check her eyes under anaesthetic and do ultrasound scans to measure her eyes. She was just so good today and i LOVE her so so much.

some people worry they might not love a second as much but I have so much love in me I want another person to share it with! (Seriously? I am such a twee twat tonight haha)

Right enough babbling to myself, time to go and watch Dexter and get some zzZZzz's.

I needed to write this down somewhere so thought I would blog so I can get it in work heh

Seeing as no one reads this it doesn;t really matter, I do seem to just chat to myself :)

Olivia is 1 (shocked)

My gorgeous little baby (who was only born a matter of weeks ago surely) was one at the weekend! I am shocked that it has gone so fast and also shocked that I still have the small amount of sanity I had pre pregnancy :)

I was going to do a longer post but I am so tired after a long day on JS. I am also waiting for teh man on Corrie to admit he is a cross dresser (or am I totally off with this and he really does have a sister?) haha

I'll write something decent one day :)

Ear Ear

My poor chunky is still ill. I thought that she had perked up and was almost back to normal on Wednesday and very happy yesterday.

I played out with work last night and joked that my perfect sleeper (please don't hate me) would probably wake up, clearly I did jinx myself. She woke up through the night and at a 3.30 wake up she was super hot, we had magic calpol and played and she chewed on her jigsaw pieces so I decided it was teething. She went back to bed and settled well until we got up for the day.

When she woke she was warm again but not too hot and she was happily playing and bouncing so gave her a bit of calpol just in case and off we went to nursery.

Cue the afternoon when I get a call from the nursery saying she has slept on and off for three hours, this is shocking to know those that know O as she doesn't really get the whole napping in the day, not that it bothers me as she sleeps amazingly at night. She refused water and then her temp soared over 40 so they stripped her down to her nappy and she just cuddled, again very odd as she would rather not cuddle and just watches to the world go by independently.

She was so pale and boiling and quite, not good signs. I rang the doctors without much hope of getting an appointment thinking I wouldn't get one calling so late in the day and they had a slot for 10 minutes later so off we scooted.

I think by just seeing the wonderful Dr Lee she felt better, she suddenly started paying attention and trying to grab his stethoscope and the BP machine. In the ten minutes her temp had dropped to 36.6 (typical. dr Lee looked at her and said he thought it was an infection but they just had to find out what one it was. After a few checks he looked in her right ear and spotted the infection.

She has got some antibiotics and calpol. She settled down to sleep really well but she is still boiling so we shall see how the night goes.

These babies are rather tricksy :)

Poor Baby

Well I thought this weekend would lead to all my washing being up-to-date but sadly this is not the case. My poor Oliviasaurus seems to have developed evening sickness so last night and tonight from tea time she has just sicked everywhere.

Last night I was alone as Tom went to a birthday party of Caz's 30th (it was superhero themed the pics look like muchos fun was had!) I was sadly home having to do numerous bed changes. I ran out of sheets for O and ended up putting one of our king size sheets in her cot. Thankfully with my new, fabulous washer dryer I cleaned and dried everything over night.

This morning she woke up fine and happy then around the same time as yesterday she got grouchy and whiny then cue scene similar to the exorcist! I was covered, she was covered, the stairs and floor at the bottom of the stairs were covered and the walls were covered, I just wanted to cry. She's been in bed for about 2 hours and all is calm, TOUCH WOOD!

I hope she is well enough for nursery tomorrow and shifts the bug soon and I manage to shift this stupid cough! There is only a week left until I start jury service and I don't want to be sitting their worrying about her.

On a note to me #amwriting and #amscared haha

Washing Machine happiness

Well I really don't seem to do much with my life these days so my biggest highlight is my new washing machine!

I've not actually washed any clothes in it yet as it's smells of new machine so it's having an empty wash.

I am sure that my washing will be up to date for the next few weeks until the novelty wears off :)

And that really is all I have to say, dull, dull, dull :)

LARD ARSE

I am never going to lose weight as I can't stop eating, tonight it is custard doughnuts, they are super tasty but now I am feeling a little guilty, I seriously need some motivation and will power to get fit and try and tone up a bit. Sadly (for my bum anyway) I would much rather sit and read a book and eat some cake, whoops.

Task for this week, eat more fruit! I feed Miss O plenty of fruit and veg but don't eat it myself, why? Weirdo!

I wish I had won the lotto tonight and could hire a cook to make nice, healthy, tasty food and I could have a gym in the house and I would have no excuse, as at the moment I am full of them :)

well this has been a dull post, I must lead a more thrilling life to make blogging worthwhile!

zzZZzz

I am soooo tired. I was fine back a work for the first couple of weeks but I am so exhausted now. I need to find a way to work 4 days per week or even just finishing at . Getting home at 6 is just hard as Olivia is so tired she just wants to have her bottle and get to bed. Ideally I would like a lotto win but the machine never seems to pick the right numbers.

Ooh this has started off as a moan!

Life is good in general. My little lovely is almost 1. How the hell did that happen? Time really does just seem to fly by.

As far as her eyes go there have been ups and downs but we seem to be fairly steady at the moment. Contact lenses are a big fail and the hospital don't seem to happy about that so we are waiting for the consultant to make a decision about what he wants to do. I am just going to keep saying leeeeave me be :) it is only for a year until they start the next round of operations.

Nothing much is happening really, I just seem to be living for the weekend when we get some nice time together although one day I need to just sleep for a day to catch up on myself so life gets easier, things are always easier after a good sleep. I might book a days holiday and spend most of it sleeping and then the afternoon with O! Sounds like plan actually.

I really should keep blogging and maybe even try to make it interesting.
