Olivia is 1 (shocked)

My gorgeous little baby (who was only born a matter of weeks ago surely) was one at the weekend! I am shocked that it has gone so fast and also shocked that I still have the small amount of sanity I had pre pregnancy :)

I was going to do a longer post but I am so tired after a long day on JS. I am also waiting for teh man on Corrie to admit he is a cross dresser (or am I totally off with this and he really does have a sister?) haha

I'll write something decent one day :)

Ear Ear

My poor chunky is still ill. I thought that she had perked up and was almost back to normal on Wednesday and very happy yesterday.

I played out with work last night and joked that my perfect sleeper (please don't hate me) would probably wake up, clearly I did jinx myself. She woke up through the night and at a 3.30 wake up she was super hot, we had magic calpol and played and she chewed on her jigsaw pieces so I decided it was teething. She went back to bed and settled well until we got up for the day.

When she woke she was warm again but not too hot and she was happily playing and bouncing so gave her a bit of calpol just in case and off we went to nursery.

Cue the afternoon when I get a call from the nursery saying she has slept on and off for three hours, this is shocking to know those that know O as she doesn't really get the whole napping in the day, not that it bothers me as she sleeps amazingly at night. She refused water and then her temp soared over 40 so they stripped her down to her nappy and she just cuddled, again very odd as she would rather not cuddle and just watches to the world go by independently.

She was so pale and boiling and quite, not good signs. I rang the doctors without much hope of getting an appointment thinking I wouldn't get one calling so late in the day and they had a slot for 10 minutes later so off we scooted.

I think by just seeing the wonderful Dr Lee she felt better, she suddenly started paying attention and trying to grab his stethoscope and the BP machine. In the ten minutes her temp had dropped to 36.6 (typical. dr Lee looked at her and said he thought it was an infection but they just had to find out what one it was. After a few checks he looked in her right ear and spotted the infection.

She has got some antibiotics and calpol. She settled down to sleep really well but she is still boiling so we shall see how the night goes.

These babies are rather tricksy :)
