So I guess I should update as it has been a very long time, almost three months!!
Well the last post I was hoping for three things that weekend they were, time off, lotto win and a BFP. I knew I would get one and I said three would be greedy but I was lucky enough to get two and I’m not millionaire :)
Friday 19th June I tested as I was going out that night and got a negative result, I kept the fact I tested to myself as it was nice to try and ignore it. I had a few drinkies after work to cheer myself up although it was a slight disappointment as the girls could not make mojitos! Bah, next day we popped to see Miss Mainey at a BBQ and had a few drinks but again not much as I was tired. I cried myself to sleep that night as I had cramps and was certain the next day I was going to come on.
Woke up Sunday and no monthly friend, I was a little surprised I tended to start during my sleep (I am sharing aren’t I haha) trying to fool myself on TTC with my symptoms that had vanished a few days earlier but I thought what the hell lets POAS. I didn’t wake Tom up didn’t really see the point. A line kinda of sort off appeared but not really. Thus lots of shouting from downstairs trying to get Tom, he had his ipod on so couldn’t hear me. He agreed that there was almost a line and said “maybe it means you’re almost pregnant” haha. We went along to tesco but I couldn’t buy a digital test there as I was convinced I would run into one of our partners so went to boots that afternoon and tested and I was rather shocked to read the word pregnant.
That day was Father’s Day! :)
I never posted after that as I didn’t want to jinx anything! Seeing as I am now almost 16 weeks I though that I should do an update.
Pregnancy wise it has been an eye opener. No matter how often you hear about symptoms and what may happen, I really wasn’t expecting the level of sleepiness that I had. Seriously, I would get in from work and sit down and I would be a gone for two hours, wake up and eat my tea and then in bed by 9 until the alarm at 7! Weekends consisted of loooong afternoon naps. Sickness didn’t really kick in until about 10 weeks and was a weird kind of comfort. Obviously being sick isn’t nice but it was reassuring to know that there was obviously something going on inside me to make me feel that way heh.
Sickness has settled down and although I am still sick every couple of days I don’t feel sick constantly and now it is kind of “uh oh feel sick, uh oh am sick ahhh right what was I doing haha
I am at a stage now were my clothes are getting tight and I am trying to decide whether I have the start of a bump or its too much cake haha.
So life the past few months has been sleep, work, sleep, food, sleep and a little more sleep.
Work wise things are twenty million times better!! I kind of had a mini breakdown when I was getting taken in to see the managing partner about things that I felt totally unable to control. I decided that stress and snide comments were a bad combination for me and asked for a role change. I am now back in Liverpool as a secretary. A comment was made that I would be begging for my old job back after a week of typing for one partner but I really could not be happier.
It is fab to be back with Vicki and Ellie and the other girls and lovely to see Gem all the time as she spends more time in Court than in her office which is great for us :)
It is so nice to go in and know that comments will not be made that I finish on time. This was a huge bug bear with people in work as most of us would get into work an hour early and eat lunch at our desk but it was always comments about us leaving at 5. If we went in at 9 and had our lunch and stayed until 7 it would have made them happier but were did it matter when we worked the extra time.
I was so ready to just walk out which would have been sad as I have worked with the company for 9 years and I do like most of the people there but thankfully it has all worked out well.
This week in particular has been really nice as the partner I am working for this week is just lovely and is a rare breed in knowing how to say thank you and actually mean it. I am enjoying the work sitting and typing and not actually having to think about things is lovely.
No doubt in time I will miss my old role and I will be keeping my practising certificate going for a while so the option is still there but it was nice that as far as my cases went I finished on a high. A case that had me stressing at the mention of it stayed with me after my move as it was listed for a final hearing. The barrister for the other side can be a horror and was patronising at most of the hearings and my confidence was knocked a fair but due to all the extra stress. It went to final hearing and I spent hooooooooours preparing for it and hoorah it paid off as we got what we were looking for.
In family cases we always say that no one is a winner, which I true especially in children’s cases, but some of the things that happened in this case really annoyed me and I really started to take the whole thing far too personally in the end and I am soooo glad that the outcome was a good one (for the child as well not just my client!)
So this getting to be a rather long post and I am getting tired. Liverpool have just won against Debenhams (OK I have no idea who they were playing but it said Deb) so it will be a happy office.
I will have to keep up to date with this again now effort this mammoth effort :)
TTFN :)
Simply a place for me to babble about my life, no matter how boring or odd it may be.

Nearing the end...
... of this cycle and for some reason I have gone crackers making up random symptoms haha
I am just looking for an excuse to have an extended period of time off work as it is rather sucky at present, so a focus on getting away from it is good.
Plus I post on a baby talk forum who have a daily thread for people who are TTC and they are all nutter (in the nicest way) but they are having a bad influence on me.
So the countdown to Saturday is really on for a few reasons firstly af is due so I'll have an answer, secondly NO WORK whoop whoop and finally I am going to get the winning six numbers on the lottery haha. Well I know that there will be a definite 1 out 3 and as meatloaf said two out of three ain't bad and I'd be happy with either of the other two. Getting all three would probably just be greedy hehe
Tomorrow is Julia's 30th I've been remembering this fact for a week and I hope that I remember tomorrow so that I can send her a text. if I put it on here it will be a reminder :)
There was something else that I was supposed to blog about, I remember sitting at my desk thinking "aah I am going to blog that" but I have forgotten, I really should write things down.
Right I am going in search of some chocolate, I know that there must be some in my bag!!
Take care lovelies xx

June Update
Well it really is time for an update as it has been a month!!
Well obviously the best thing about May was our trip to New York for our anniversary. It is such a crazy city unlike any other. It is fast and fun with so much to do.
I was glad to see that the people aren’t as angry as I have heard. There are so real crazies but most are really nice.
We did so much in our week but there is still so much that we didn’t get a chance to do. We walk so so much and ached every night when we got back to our hotel.
We did the major things like Empire State Building, Top of the Rock and some museums. We took a ferry ride to Liberty Island. Saw Avenue Q on Broadway (which was ace) and went to a comedy show. We took tours around NBC and around Maddison Square Garden. We walked around Central Park and to Central park Zoo (aka schitzu hehe). We went to Ground Zero which really is just a building site at present but the plans look good. We also walked along Fifth Avenue looking at all the shops. We also dropped into Madam Tossauds.
My favourite was TOTR, we went later in the evening and stayed up there whilst it was getting dark. Fantastic views over the whole city. Plus they have this crazy light room where the lights have sensors and follow you around. Tom has put some embarrassing vids on YouTube of me.
I also loved walking across Brooklyn Bridge, it was a nice day and we just talked all eh way across. When we got to the other side we went to The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory for some delicious ice cream!
There is so much more that we did but I don’t want to bore everyone hehe
The day after we got back I went to see Girls Aloud with the girls and Chris. It was a lovely day so we met in the pub at 4.30 and had a few glasses of vino collapso before we went to eat and then onto the show.
I had a fab time and it was a fab show and sang our favourite songs. Sadly Vicki couldn’t go as the mean university made her sit exams on the day of the concert and the morning after. I did ring her though so that she could have a listen and a dance hehe
Then it was back to work, nuff said! :(
Then it was Al’s birthday so the boys went for a night out and I had a lovely evening with Skip, Nich and Logan. We sat in a cooed over gorgeous Logan, ate biscuits and sweets and watched Mama Mia which was fab :)
There is no update on the baby front boo, I’m trying not to let it get to me but I have to be patient, I’m not very good at being patient hehe!
We went to see Terminator on Saturday. It was very loud, I love going to the cinema and watching loud movies. It was fun but there is just something about Christian Bale, I don’t not like him I just don’t particularly like him. Tom thinks it’s because he can’t talk. He is either shouting or uses the stupid gruff voice. TALK MAN! He seems the same for most characters he plays. Apart from American Psycho, I have to say he was very good in that though saying someone is a good psycho may not be the best compliment hehe
I bought myself a new toy yesterday as well. A Sony Reader which I am loving. I have transferred a lot of my books from my laptop to it so now I can keep reading when I am on the bus or at dinner. It came with 100 classic books so I am going to work my way through that. I am going to read The Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide, we call one of the people in work that so I am going to read the book!! It also has War and Peace and there is something in me that actually fancies reading that.
Still no job for Thomas which is a little worrying as he only has two weeks left at this one. He was an interview set up for 29th June so I am just going to keep my fingers crossed for that.
I also have to say that I love lolcats, it really cheers me to just sit and scroll through the pictures. I did that before typing this as Sunday evenings are the second most depressing time of the week, Monday morning being the first.
Well that is all for now so I shall sign off and decide what to watch tonight. Tomorrow is Monday and therefore the countdown to the weekend :) nothing planned for this week other than stinky boo work
Have a goodun folks xx

Audity stresshead
AaAaarrrRrrRgGggGGggGhHhHhhhh STRESS!
We are being audited in work and apparently the powers that be aren't looking too happy so we're all scaring ourselves that it is going badly and we'll all be out of a job by Friday hehe!
As well as being audited we're having our computer systems updated so we keep getting kicked off the servers or our PCs keep freezing, its a pain in the arse.
Also in a shocking turn around clients are actually turning up for appointments. In the past three days I have had 10 clients booked in and 9 have turned up!
I am soooo tired due to weekend madness and soo much work. I also think I am coming down with something as my throat is hurty.
I am a moaner today haha
I had a look on lol cats as it is always good to make me smile. I chose this one in honour of our pants computers in work today :)

Beeeeautiful Baby and an update

So let’s have a little update then.
I have to post a few pics of the lovely Logan Alan Parsons Kelly (Skip hope you don’t mind, only you and Nich seem to read my blog anyway! Hehe)
He is absolutely gorgeous little one! I sat looking through the photos and started crying and couldn’t stop. Tears of joy for Skip and Al. I’ve been a little emotional today and it was just the release my mind seemed to need.
I am looking forward to when they are all settled in and ready for visitors. I need to go a squidge his knees. I love baby legs when they’re cute and squishy hehe
No news on out baby front. We’re onto cycle 7, let’s hope it is lucky for us :) This cycle is due to end as we’re off to NY so there are two options we have. The first half of the holiday I will be crampy though probably not miserable considering I am away hehe or we have to call out baby Brooklyn :)
I was considering packing a pg test but that is probably just asking for a negative result at the end of the cycle.
So New York is only two weeks and two ½ sleeps away!! I am sooo giddy but feel unprepared for it. I’m a planning freak and would normally have everything planned out or at least have some sort of idea of what we’re doing but I don’t! I keep thinking I will do it at the weekend but I won’t have time, I need to focus on it at some point preferably not Saturday before we fly on the Sunday hehe
So this weekend is going to be a busy one.
Tomorrow night I am doing a 9k walk around Liverpool docks. It starts at midnight!! I was excited about it when we signed up months ago but not so much now as the person who got us involved has backed out. Gayle and I are doing it and hoping that we can get it done in a respectable time and get home to bed hehe
The walk is to raise funds for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation who we have been supporting in the woolton office. We went a fashion show they organised in Debenhams last week and I really enjoyed it. If they do another one I am going to get a gang of girls together and make a night of it :)
Sunday we are throwing ourselves off the police HQ in town. I am actually really looking forward to this. I want to get some good snaps from the top of the building showing the city. This one is to raise money for Bradbury Fields who support blind and partially sighted people and also towards Red Balloon (I think?) who are settling up a school for children who have been bullied and in memory of Jamie Bulger.
I am hoping that I’m not too tired on Monday morning, someone has booked a client in for me at 9.15 waaaah that is too early to try and focus on a Monday!!
Work is quite depressing at the moment. I am still hoping for that lottery win though it is never going to come! Jo and I say in work the other day deciding what we were going to do with the money. Dreaming is good and hopefully one day it will come true!
So the random babbling means that it is probably time to sign off for now. Hopefully post middle of next week with some photos from the weekend.
Tatty byes for now blogfolks :)
PS I had to add one last photo as I love Logan's eyes and his face and his hair - oooh so cute and ooooooh so broody hehe
